COMPLEX SPINAL SURGICAL DEVICE (Awarded with Singapore President’s Design Award)

Product Accomplishments:

  • Collaborated on development and commercialization of the device
  • Validate the entire assembly process including gluing and lapping which required detailed process mapping
  • Push test, molding and printed circuit board assembly
  • The design concept of shaft bending fixture for curve tip has been developed solely by Beyonics
  • Challenges include ensuring uniform force application on the shaft to achieve desired radius with a tight deflection tolerance of +/- 0.05mm
  • Ensuring no crack in ceramic at the tip of shaft
  • Functional testing, cap welding and lastly, sterile packaging.
