Updated Statement of Prospects of the Beyonics Group

We refer to the statements of prospects in the full year financial statements announcement dated 19 September 2002 and the Chairman's statement in Beyonics' Annual Report 2002 ("Statements of Prospects").

The Statements of Prospects are as follows:

"The Group's financial performance and position have improved. Consequently, the Group has been able to leverage its resources to secure new projects from new and existing customers while at the same time staying competitive by continuing to focus on cost efficiency and effectiveness.

The Group will continue to look for strategic customer partnerships for growth. The successful integration of the Techplas and Batam PCBA operations into the Group has created opportunities for us to expand our business with medical OEM customers and offer lower cost manufacturing facilities to all our customers.

The Group is setting up a new plant in Thailand which is expected to commence operations towards the end of the second quarter of the new financial year. The Thailand plant will enable the Group to strengthen our ties with existing customers and at the same time tap into a new market.

The state of world economic recovery remains uncertain. The industry segments of the Group's three main core businesses remain competitive. The Group's performance for the new financial year may be affected by any major change in the political, economic and business environment. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Directors believe that the Group will continue to maintain its current level of profitability in the new financial year."

"Recent tragic events close to Singapore coupled with the poor economic recovery have again generated great concerns in the regional political and business environment. Beyonics has to continue focusing intensely on operational efficiencies without compromising customers' expectations and standards so as to maintain and increase its customer base. It is a most challenging task but Beyonics had come through a difficult 2002 in good measures. As such, we are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to continue our performance of 2002."

The above Statements of Prospects were not made in connection with the merger with Flairis Technology Corporation Limited ("Merger"). This Announcement should not be regarded in any way as a forecast of Beyonics Group's results for the financial year ending 31 July 2003. The Directors of Beyonics have not issued a profit forecast for the Beyonics Group in connection with the Merger.

Updated Statement of Prospects

In the Beyonics Group's interim financial statements announcement dated 14 February 2003, the Directors indicated that "the world economic recovery still remains uncertain. The Group's performance for the second half year may be affected by any major change in the political, economic and business environment. The Group's core businesses remain competitive and face constant lower average selling prices. However, the Group will continue to focus on cost efficiencies and strategic partnerships for growth and to maintain the Group competitiveness in this challenging environment."

Subsequent to this interim announcement, there was an outbreak of hostilities in Iraq and severe acute respiratory syndrome ("SARS") and warnings of the possible terrorist attacks in Singapore and Asia. Such major regional and global events may have an impact on the operations of Beyonics' customers and the demand for their end products. Beyonics' operations, which are principally located in South East Asia and China, could be affected by the SARS outbreaks. There may consequently be an indirect impact on Beyonics' operating performance for the second half of the financial year ending 31 July 2003. The Directors have therefore reviewed the Statements of Prospects, taking into consideration various global and regional events, including, inter alia, the continuing global economic uncertainty, the SARS situation and warnings of possible terrorist attacks. Pursuant to their review, the Directors wish to update the Statements of Prospects as follows:

"The following statement supersedes all previous statements made by the Company in respect of its prospects for the financial year ending 31 July 2003, including, inter alia, the commentary made in the full year financial statements and dividend announcement dated 19 September 2002 and the comments made in the Chairman's statement in the Annual Report 2002.

Moving forward, global economic conditions are still uncertain and unpredictable, and the Group's operating environment remains competitive. In addition, the longer-term consequences of the SARS outbreak are still unknown and may affect Beyonics' existing customers' orders.

With Beyonics' close customer relationships, established reputation as a high quality contract manufacturer, strong financial position and a forward-looking management which continues to focus on cost efficiencies and strategic partnerships for growth to maintain the Group's competitiveness, the Board is confident that the Group will continue to be profitable for the second half of the financial year ending 31 July 2003."

Further details on the Updated Statement of Prospects, including the bases and assumptions, will be made available in the circular to shareholders of Beyonics (the "EGM Circular"), containing further information on the proposed Merger and notice of Beyonics' general meeting to approve the issue of new Beyonics shares as well as in the letter from Beyonics to Flairis shareholders to be included in the scheme document (the "Scheme Document") to the shareholders of Flairis. The Updated Statement of Prospects has been reported upon in accordance with The Singapore Code of Take-overs and Mergers and the full text of reports will be made available in the EGM Circular and the Scheme Document.
